What happens if you stop using an email cleaner?

Your Gmail account remains yours. What stays behind depends on the labels, rules, archives, or Trash actions the cleaner already applied.

Short answer

Turn off automation, inspect pending work, cancel the subscription, and revoke Google access. Then review labels and Trash directly in Gmail.

Before canceling

  1. Turn off automatic rules or background cleanup.
  2. Review pending suggestions and recent activity.
  3. Check which labels, folders, filters, or digests the product created.
  4. Export any records the product offers and you want to retain.

After canceling

  1. Disconnect the mailbox inside the product.
  2. Revoke the connection from your Google Account.
  3. Review Gmail labels, Archive, Spam, and Trash.
  4. Restore wanted messages before Gmail permanently removes them.

What does not happen automatically

Canceling does not normally reconstruct your previous Inbox view. Gmail actions already applied are mailbox state, not a temporary overlay. It also may not delete the service account or billing records. Follow the product's separate disconnect, cancellation, and account-deletion steps.

  • Will canceling an email cleaner restore my inbox?

    Usually not automatically. Messages already archived, labeled, filtered, or moved to Trash remain in that Gmail state until you change them. Review the product’s activity and your Gmail labels before canceling.

  • Does canceling a subscription revoke Gmail access?

    Do not assume it does. Disconnect inside the product and verify the connection in your Google Account. Revoking Google access prevents future API access, but it does not reverse Gmail actions already completed.

  • What happens to labels created by an email cleaner?

    Labels created in Gmail generally remain until you rename or remove them. Removing a label does not delete the messages carrying it, but confirm behavior in Gmail before making a large change.

  • What happens when I disconnect PureBox?

    PureBox can no longer scan or apply new Gmail changes after access is revoked. Actions you already approved remain visible in Gmail. Account-data deletion follows the current PureBox privacy policy and account-deletion flow.
